Residential

Patients/residents are accommodated in one of the five living units, each unit consisting of approximately 14 persons, and divided into two subgroups per unit. The environment and furniture/equipment of the Rehabilitation Center have been adapted, as necessary, and tailored so as to be accessible to all users with the goal of stimulating and facilitating the acquisition of autonomy, independence and integration.

Benefits and Services

The rehabilitation services and therapeutic interventions provided during the residential admission are defined within the Individual Rehabilitation-Educational Project developed by the multidisciplinary team in response to specific needs and may concern any of the following areas:

Adapted Physical Activity: sport activity, trekking, athletics, swimming, spinning, bocci ball;

Speech therapy for: language disorders, alternative augmentative communication, specific and non-specific learning disorders, myofunctional therapy for swallowing and chewing disorders
Rehabilitation of neuropsychological disorders and cognitive enhancement

Rehabilitation of sensory functions: visual and visual-spatial with multi-sensorial, auditory, basal and multi-sensorial integration (Frohlich and Snoezelen method), multi-sensorial stimulations in water
Music therapy
Rehabilitation interventions in the sensory and motor-praxis area with innovative tools such as MyTobii and Neater Eater
Laboratory-educational and rehabilitative activities: graphic-pictorial, crafts, ceramics, mobility and orientation, equine-assisted therapy, music therapy, horticultural therapy
Assistance and educational-rehabilitation interventions aimed at promoting the development of personal, psycho-relational and socio-environmental independence

Specialists available: physiatrist (consultation for assistive devices), neurologist, psychiatrist, pediatric neuropsychiatrist, neurophysiopathologist, orthodontist and nutritionist
